Technical Business Development Representative
- Ghent (Belgium)
Job description
🌍 We’re taking on the crusty global cyber market, the "no-BS" security platform for devs.
In the past, only large enterprises needed to worry about security. Today, cybersecurity has become the top concern of 75% of all CEOs, from startups to enterprises.
This means more work for developers, who need to become security experts and ensure their platforms are secure. But it’s hard. The market is riddled with overcomplicated, expensive tools that aren’t fit for developers. So, we founded Aikido.
We are the no-bullsh*t security platform that developers actually like to use. One central platform that shows devs what matters and how to fix it, so they can get back to building.
Why work with us? Founded in 2022 by third-time serial founders, with $25M funding in the bank, we're dead set on getting security done for devs. This is a chance to join an all-star team early, take ownership, and push boundaries.
We're looking for a self-starting technical BDR to join our fast-growing startup and lead an exciting new product: "Firewall."
Firewall is an open-core web application firewall alternative that helps engineers protect their application with one line of code. It sounds simple, but its hard to build. Firewall monitors fishy user behavior and automatically protects against a wide array of attacks. Firewall helps engineers and CTOs sleep at night knowing their app is protected. Check it out: https://www.webfirewall.dev/
Since we're still quite small, you'll be wearing multiple hats and hitting the ground on day 0 for a new and significant product line.
Product Introduction:
- Engage with existing users to adopt Firewall.
- Introduce and promote our new open-core product, "Firewall," to new potential customers
Sales & Growth:
- Identify & manage firewall sales opportunities from start to finish.
- Follow up on inbound leads and do outbound prospecting to drive Firewall adoption.
- Engage with developer communities to build awareness and generate interest.
Collaboration:
- Gather and analyze feedback from early adopters to refine the Firewall v.1.
- Work closely with the dedicated Firewall engineering team to understand product features and capabilities
Job requirements
- Very tech-savvy, you are able to quickly learn and explain technical concepts.
- 1-3 years in a sales development or technical sales role, ideally with experience in the dev tooling, devops, application security, or technical SaaS.
- Experience with CRM systems, outbounding, prospecting, sequences, and (cold) calling.
- Plus: experience engaging with developer communities and promoting technical products.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
What you can expect:
- High-impact position in a fast-growing company
- Competitive salary package
- A company that sticks to its values in an open and informal atmosphere (see our culture-page on the website for more details)
- A diverse and inclusive organization that is proud to be an equal opportunity employer
You will be recruited based on competencies. Qualities of people are decisive, regardless of gender, religion, ethnic origin, age, sexual orientation, or disability.
