Job description

Aikido builds developer-first security products that reduce real risk without slowing teams down. We focus on what actually matters and automate the rest. Founded in 2022, we have $85M in the bank, unicorn status, and customers like SoundCloud, the Premier League, and Niantic.

Now we're planting our flag in APAC, and we're looking for our first dedicated marketing hire in the region. You'll be a generalist: part field marketer, part demand gen, part brand ambassador, working hand-in-hand with our commercial team in APAC. The job is to get Aikido known and trusted by developers and security teams across the region, and turn that awareness into pipeline. 

There's no playbook yet. You'll write it.

What you'll do

Own field marketing across APAC

  • Plan and run events: meetups, roundtables, executive dinners, developer gatherings, and side events at major conferences

  • Represent Aikido at regional security and developer conferences (e.g., Black Hat Asia, DevOps Live, AWS Summit APAC, local BSides events…)

  • Coordinate logistics, speakers, content, and sales follow-up end-to-end

Drive demand and pipeline

  • Work closely with the commercial team to build and run regional campaigns that generate qualified pipeline, not just impressions

  • Track what works, cut what doesn't, report back to the global team

Localize Aikido for APAC markets

  • Adapt global messaging for local audiences across Singapore, Australia, Japan, India, and beyond

  • Work with the content and product marketing teams to localize website copy, ads, and campaigns

  • Understand the nuances of different APAC markets and help prioritize where to focus

Build community and brand presence

  • Get Aikido into the right developer communities, startup ecosystems, and security circles across the region

  • Forge relationships with local partners, VCs, accelerators, and community organizers

  • Bring Aikido's "no-BS security" voice to everything you do in the region

Be the eyes and ears on the ground

  • Share feedback from the field to shape messaging, product direction, and go-to-market priorities

  • Be Aikido's local representative: at events, on stage, in rooms where it matters

What we're looking for

  • 5+ years of experience in B2B marketing, with meaningful time spent in field marketing, demand gen, or regional marketing roles

  • Based in Singapore (or willing to relocate)

  • Experience in developer tools, cybersecurity, or SaaS. You understand how developers and security teams think

  • Proven track record of running events and programs that generate real pipeline

  • Comfortable being a generalist: you can run an event on Monday, write localized ad copy on Tuesday, and brief a partner on Wednesday

  • Fluent in English; additional Asian language(s) a strong plus

  • You're a self-starter who doesn't wait for a complete brief before taking action

Bonus points for:

  • Existing network in the APAC developer or security community

  • Experience being the first regional marketing hire somewhere

  • Familiarity with AppSec, DevSecOps, or compliance (SOC 2, ISO 27001)

  • Japanese, Mandarin, Korean, or Hindi language skills
